Rising UT Woman Award

The University of Tennessee, Knoxville’s Commission for Women is seeking nominations for its Rising UT Woman Award.

The award recognizes a woman in the early stages of her professional path who has made great strides in her area and shows exceptional promise for future accomplishments. The award is designed to recognize, on a rotating basis, (i) undergraduate students, (ii) early career staff [exempt and non-exempt, below the level of director], (iii) graduate students, and (iv) early career faculty [non-tenure track and tenure-track faculty at the level of assistant professor or lecturer or equivalent].

For the 2024 Rising UT Woman Award, nominations of early career staff members are being accepted. 

Award criteria/attributes:

  •         A woman who is outstanding in her area or field of study
  •         A woman who has made significant impacts on the university or the broader community and shows great promise for future impacts

Nomination materials:

Provide a nomination letter and a current CV/resume via the link on this page by February 12, 2024. Each nomination letter should include the name of the nominator, department or academic program, email address, and phone number. Nominations from students and peers are strongly encouraged.
